Raccomandate da uffici di nuova istituzione - Serradifalco 1862, letter of 27 April to Palermo, initially not franked, accepted and taxed for c. 15 with pen mark 1 1/2 and always adding the graph "Assicurata" in pen, since Serradifalco did not yet have the relevant stamp. Once in S. Caterina it was sent back by the postal officer, deleting "Palermo" and overwriting "see overleaf", where the reasons for the return were written on the reverse, including the lack of sealing wax and mandatory postage being "Insured" as "Insured". The officer of Serradifalco, therefore, affixed a cent. 5 + c. 10 n. 13D + 14D, covering the tax sign and canceling them with the red-brown circle repeated on the dust jacket, restarting the missive by canceling the annotations on the reverse. Once again in S. Caterina, the officer noted that the postage of c. 15 only covered the ordinary port, so he added a postage stamp from c. 20 of Italy notched, no. 2 and noted on the upper part of the letter "Cen. Venti from the Office of S. Caterina have been added", from where it was finally forwarded to Palermo where it reached its destination on the following 5 May. On the reverse, arrival stamp.
