Raccomandate - S. Cataldo 1861, letter dated 25 August leaving for Palermo, franked but not canceled. Upon arrival, the circle "Palermo / Arrival" canceling c. 10 + c. 20 + c. 40, no. 14Cm + 15Dc + 16D. On the superscription "Insured" within the manuscript folder and S. Cataldo manuscript, also affixed on arrival by the postal officer. On the reverse arrival postmarks. Bourbon rate for three and a half sheets, equal to 7 grit x 2 = 14 grit x 5 cents = 70 cents. Rarity. The only known letter, as the only one is the "S. Cataldo" manuscript. N.d.R. In the book Aquila-Orlando it is believed that the letter left without postage stamps and in Palermo franked and canceled as a "Registered" letter without postage for three ports, but this hypothesis is unlikely.
